<<It does not include laptops and enterprise as far as I know. The 2 areas Dell has been strongest lately.>>

Also their two highest-margin product lines, I believe. <GG>

Dell Japan to Offer Business Users Free On-Site Service

Pat:
How'bout that?
========================

May 14, 1999 (TOKYO) -- Dell Computer Corp. of Japan said it will provide free, on-site repair services for three years for all of its desktop and notebook PCs with company users.

This service is available for all "OptiPlex" desktop PCs and "Latitude" notebook PCs.

The service, to provide three-year guarantee free-of-charge for all the PC products a company sells to its corporate users, is the first in the industry.

Until recently, one-year, free on-site repair service was provided as standard support. Upon users' request for longer term support, PC makers extended the guarantee up to a five-year period at maximum, for a fee.
