Interesting conceptual leap. However, there is no evidence to support your conclusions. Three properties of kimberlite make it a good source of diamonds: high CO2 content, deep source, and rapid rise to surface. There is little evidence of resorption in the diamonds recovered. #reply-9127608 Alluvial processes tend to enhance grade not the opposite. "Heavy mineral separation of these and other FALC extra-crater deposits indicate a significant upgrading of heavy mineral (S.G. >2.9g/cc) in the reworked sections [...] This implies the diamond distribution has been strongly upgraded in the reworked strata relative to the primary."
