<<<<<<<So let's see, SMSI is the market leader according to Beyond.com, has released its financial information to the SEC, and has an attractive web site, yet NCDR is valued at 7 times the value of SMSI. What am I missing here?>>>>>>>>

What is...........the shorting oppurtunity of a lifetime?

Craig, I download, installed, and made a one minute video clip using Smith Micro's mail program. The file size is 1.09 meg or right at twice the size of the exact same clip I made with cinemail. The cinemail screen size is 320x240, the Smith Micro is 176x145. The Smith Micro is choppy, the cinemail is seamless. The Smith Micro is heavily pixelated, the cinemail is considerably less.

SM uses an AVI based compression, not MPEG4. AVI is an antiquated compression technology.

Did you notice that their net sales were down 30% quarter to quarter as their press release says?

I have not checked out their FAX products yet. Maybe I'll have time later this week.

I guess I must be more ignorant then what I though about Internet Commerce sites, because I have never heard of SUPERSTOREBEYOND.COM. So I have no way of judging what #1 on their site is re. Internet Communications.

Cinemail is looked at by NCDR is almost a "give away" product. If a person or company has the video capture card, which is necessary to produce the video, then what NCDR wants is for them to buy the upgrade products like the video broadcasting. This is the area that has made Real Networks (RNWK) a $10 Billion Market Cap, even though they are losing money. Aside from the broadcasting, the real speculative value of NCDR is the WavTV and its prodgeny, the Internet Video Survaillance applications. And of course the Satellite Access technology.

NCDR has been in existance for three months, I have no idea how long Smith Micro has.

I have said it several times in past posts, I cannot debate whether NCDR is overvalued in this market or not. In my personal opinion, 95% of all internet stocks are overvalued, but that is because I come from the "Old School" that historicaly valued stock on multiples of EPS not multiples of ten year out projected revenues.

I certainly do NOT recommending this or any internet stock to anyone who doesn't understand fully why they are buying the stock. The one thing that I am personally comfortable with is that this Company is here to stay for a while. It may go to $1.00 or $100, but it is not going to go away due to not having tangible products.

I guess we will just have to let the market decide over the next several months.
