Rich,

I agree with you about the screws lining up. My Addtronics case is pretty nice -- no major complaints. However, it has the removable mobo tray, which is removed through the side (which I'm guessing is different from the HX-08 which slides out the back?). When I started adding peripheral boards I found that there wasn't quite enough clearance at the back panel and I had to apply pressure against that panel to get the cards back far enough to slip into the mobo slots. I guess the vid card is keeping it in place because I don't have any trouble swapping other cards in and out now.

Other than that the fit is pretty good and it's a nice solid case. Very popular. The HDD cage is removable with one screw which is my favorite feature. It only holds two drives, though -- seems like 3 would make more sense. And it has removable sides -- which I could not do without. (In fact, I don't even keep one of them on -- always switching drives).

My previous case was an Enlight which had perfect fit and really was pretty decent. I was really frustrated with it for most of the time I was using it because I didn't realize that the HDD cage was removable (and I used to be an auto-mechanic <g>) I complained about this to the shop that sold me the computer (because there was no way to remove the HDD -- I figured the case had been riveted together with the components installed) and they didn't even tell me about the cage coming out. Well, that's because they didn't actually assemble it themselves (which they didn't happen to mention) -- they just buy pre-configured packages wholesale, which was why half the parts were different from what I had ordered.

This case will probably last me forever (or until the next form change), but the A-Open sounds nice. Decent price too.

Here's a review I came across of the HX-08:
