From the VSE Policy Manual:

7.3.2 News releases are not vetted or accepted for filing by the Exchange. The responsibility for the adequacy and accuracy of the content of news releases rests with the Directors of a company. This fact is underscored by the Exchange's standard practice of putting a disclaimer statement, if not already evident on the news release,
on the originally signed copy of the news release it receives from the company and files in the company's public file at the Exchange. The disclaimer states: "The Vancouver Stock Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release."

Red, I do believe that in SIV's case they might have been given some informal guidance by the VSE. Official approval - No Way!
