When I posted that I prefer paid subscription services, I should have added that in our home if the TV is on, it is usually on PBS, so I have not seen even one minute of ER. But I know what you mean. Ads can have an effect even if you don't pay explicit attention to them. But How much is that worth ? Billions ? Not in my opinion.

If you are reading the yhoo thread, do you notice how many posts there are re split ? That is what I was referring to. Although there are some serious investors, my impression is that some (many ?) were hoping for get rich quick and are now grasping for straws.
