Qualcom CDMA was an earlier example of something Gilder believed in which had the same look to many, many folks. Turns out Gilder/Qualcom wasn't scamming anybody and wasn't technologically lost or warped, he/they was/were right. I trust Gilder as a thoroughly honest man for reasons you may or may not appreciate which have no real place on this board. Appearances can be deceiving- especially to those who don't know much of what they are looking at. Simply based on his successful track record going against the wind if you will, you'd do well to give Gilder and his latest enthusiasm a closer look before suggesting such a thing about he and his Gilder Technology Report IMHO. My first instinct upon reading your post was to laugh knowingly to myself- the notion couldn't be more preposterous IMHO.
