goober - Thanks to you and the rest of the thread responders. I understand something about what Intel wishes to accomplish with the LEVL acquisition. But I'm still trying to piece together what implications an Intel Network Microprocessor will have on the Communications sector when its not vaporware, presumably sometime next year, maybe. I am assuming this would not be targeted as a low end product, and the article I posted seems to think Intel is trying to drive a paradigm shift with the possible commoditization of the internals the switching equipment that you all love and understand so much, and that I know zilch about :-). Thanks again for the responses. PB
