Standard & Poor's lists 39 stocks in its "Platinum Portfolio" of companies that have both strong fundamentals and a "fair value" well above its price. The top rating in each case is "5." The latest list includes just one stock with double 5s: Wisconsin Central Transportation Corp. (WCLX), a rail holding company with interests domestically and in New Zealand.

Among the stocks with one 4 and one 5: America West Holdings Corp. (AWA), airline; Cadence Design Systems Inc. (CDN), software; OfficeMax Inc. (OMX), retailer; AES Corp. (AES), global electric power; Black Box Corp. (BBOX), network software; Cigna Corp. (CI), insurance; Outback Steakhouse Inc. (OSSI), restaurant chain; Saks Inc. (SKS), department stores; and Zebra Technologies Corp. (ZBRA), bar-code printers.
