Marty: Your market cap figure is very wrong. The total equity market cap of Iridium at $10/sh is about $1.5 billion. Read that 10K a little more carefully.

The confusion is because IRID is only 13.5% of the total equity of Iridium. The rest is held by 20 large investors - mostly telecoms and Motorola of course. Yahoo and others have the numbers all jumbled up. In some cases they have overall Iridium figures divided by the number of IRID shares and vice versa... David

Rob, re book value, it's hard since you're dealing with technology where book value is usually overstated. you're probably right above needing most of the 66 satellites to support the system. i also think that poor mngmt is most to blame; therefore it has a future with the changes it mngmt it announced recently. i think i saw that the chairman owns a large chunk of shares while the other very little if any. if you're looking into the stock seriously, better do your dd fast since it may not stay at this price for too long before they announce something. stock now 8 7/8-15/16, low for day of 8 9/16; high (also the open) 10 1/4. Marty (also they own a small part of the system, with many other co.s taking the rest.)
