Thanks Ben...yes, that makes sense.

I guess the confusion on this issue came to me because I thought that once the pattern was broken (ie., the X's not reaching the level of the previous column of X's), it couldn't used as part of a triple. Now I see that that isn't true.

Ticker HBAN has a double top breakout. I would like to know, if this breakout is just double top or an extended pattern breakout ?

Secondly, from where I would calculate PO based on Horizontal Price target and Vertical Price target.

My limited knowledge say the Horizontal Price target will be based on price line 32 congestion area, which counts to 17*3=51 and adding this to (+) low point in the congestion area at 23 would give me target of 23+51=74.
For Vertical count I am confused.

HELP!
