bobcat, i always wonder why people like you hang around these boards of stocks you seemingly do not and will not own. anyone with the investor savvy you seem to have would be remiss to waste your time on such subjects.
that said, worc up today on crazy day for the markets and less than average volume. could news be in the wings, calling TAP .

<< The best I can see for CATT in 1999 is about $.62 - $.$69 a share and it looks like the predictions are for the same amount in 2000. Hardly the kind of growth that justifies a $16.00 stock. Maybe I am missing something here. >>

Or maybe just a 18 5/16 stock like it is now today! I think you are missing something on catt. Too bad for you buddy!

From kide's 5/17 pr:

"First quarter net revenues increased 35 percent to $3,251,941 compared to $2,403,378 reported for the same period last year. For the quarter, the Company reported net income of $744,630 or $.13 cents per share on a fully diluted basis, compared to last year's first quarter income of $278,303 or $0.5 cents per share adjusted for the 3 for 2 stock split announced by the Company on March 29, 1999. "

Bobcat, did kide really earn $0.50 cents per share, split adjusted, in q1 of 1998, or are the folks at kide asleep at the switch? Shouldn't it be $0.05 per share? Either that, or do they really mean they earned 1/2 of one cent per share in q1 1998, and 13/100 of one cent in 1999? Something's off here.

Victor

<< Victor - KIDE has a good chance of tripling earnings this year. The best I can see for CATT in 1999 is about $.62 - $.$69 a share and it looks like the predictions are for the same amount in 2000. >>

Yes, you've seen the analysts who follow CATT. Any analysts follow kide? nada. BTW, catt made net of .30 per share in q1 1999, with a net margin of more than 34%. Looks to me like kide's margin is about 22%.

<<Hardly the kind of growth that justifies a $16.00 stock. Maybe I am missing something here.>>

So CATT is not worth a multiple of 20, but kide is worth a multiple of 48? c'mon, bobcat, retail kid's stuff is not worth a multiple of 48.
