PB,

No need to be concerned about the K7 chipset. There is one available now.

AMD will use the Irongate chipset for the first few months, while the Taiwanese vendors develop solutions for motherboards. ViA and ALI are likely to be first off the mark, with chipsets available in the fourth quarter of 1999.

AOL TV Set Top Boxes (one with Intel, one with NSM):
1) AOL's Philips (MedaGX chip)
2) AOL's Hughes Powered (Intel's chip)

Both use: iGST CyberPro 5000 Streaming Media Processor chip CyberPro 5000, the "only" streaming media chip which operates on both (NSM + Intel) processors.

Note: This post is about AOL's STB, which is unrelated to my previous post #81027 on AOL's Internet Appliance. AOL is on a mission. Amy J
