I used to love to fish with my father and my uncle...before I developed my own opinions, they loved to play with me. Now, they are wary I suppose....must be that "spell" I cast. I grew up where you did and was born not far from where you were born...small world.

If you like fly fishing all that much and you haven't read "A River Runs Through It" I wonder if you are really serious. Of course, unlike the movie, it lacks an apologia for catch and eat, so you might not like it. However, it's not the best story in the book, in my view. By the way, to get with the thread, I was in our local gun shop the other day. Got into a conversation with the owner, who said he knew a guy who had hunted ducks with Slick Willie. Slick could hit ducks everyone else missed. So he does have some redeeming qualities after all. Too bad he wants to boink gun owners too. Look out Pez, he'll be after catch and release next.
