Gee that was an unbiased presentation of the facts huh?

DSL Beats Cable Modem in Prime-Time Internet Performance Duel
Could it be because cable is actually being used at night and DSL isnt? Nah.
I wonder why they didnt measure times downloading large complex pages or files or streaming video? I'd be much more curious to see data on average throughput. Can cable under heavy usage match the throughput of a "384kbs" DSL link also under heavy usage? That would be interesting to know.

Although cable modem outperformed DSL during business hours with a 3.68 second performance versus DSL's 4.30 seconds, cable-modem performance degraded by 8 percent during the evening hours while DSL performance improved 17 percent
In other words the "bandwidth guaranteed" DSL performance degraded 17 percent during business hours when DSL is most heavily used! Why is that? DSL in the daytime was *slower* than cable at any time. Guaranteed bandwidth?
Who funds these people anyway?
