Zeev,

I heard the guest analyst on CNBC (cannot remember his name) STRONGLY disagree with the Solomon Smith Barney AMAT downgrade. He expects them to beat their number and give a bullish CC, FWIW.

Zeev I'm not nearly so concerned about the behavior of INTC as I don't think MPUs are leading the semi recovery at this point. MPU's and memory products continue to be under pricing pressure. Instead the leaders of this semi recovery are foundries, DSPs, communications products, etc. The companies leading this recovery include TSMC, ADI, TXN, and LSI.

Not sure why, I assume just hedging their bets before earnings come out???
It will be interesting to see if anyone else follows Sal/Smith Barn... move on Amat.

I personally feel there is NO chance of a rate hike, at worst change in bias..

*** OT *** Congratulations on joining the bus again. AMSC missed earnings. Just thought I would point out given your interest in superconductor technology. tim
