Kash, Well most of the work that we do at the university is on passive components, but we do do some active work. It just seems to me that a lot of the work is being directed into the wrong directions (i.e. the types of simulations). This is an area I thought the EDA industry was much further along in (see what happens when you aren't exposed to this kind of stuff on a daily basis). Anyway I'm going to look into some basic digital modeling stuff over the next couple of days. The approach I am thinking of bringing to the table seems to be one (from what you are telling me) that isn't deployed in this area yet. I'll do some basic compute analysis work and see if it's even practicle (it may not be). Regards, Steve
