Mike, I was referring the institutional level sharing of information and intellectual property enabling GBLX to proceed in that space at first in a structurally defined maneer. This is certainly a doable and nonviolative proposition, IMO, at first, and one which would find its way over time in the general flow of things.

I'm listening to the 55 Broad Street conference call right now, and to some extent they've covered someof this without actually coming out and emphasizing VoIP, although they implied it in a veiled sort of way under a much larger context.

As a sidenote, and probably more appropriate for this thread, they have made numerous references to web tone during the call, and a very big issue, a very big one, on their VDSL intitiatives going forward. They are demo-ing it now over a 4,000 ft "string" of copper on one of the floors there, using someone's pedestal wares and terminal gear. I'd like to know whose it is. Anyone know? They are showing the ability to pull down any of 167 channels, I think they said, while using the Caller ID and incoming/outgoing call capabilities from the STB. For what it's worth.

Back to the call... I suggest listening to it later on during the replay.

Almost forgot. The rebroadcast dial in information for the GBLX-USW CC can be found below. In review, they did say a lot of the things that were mandatory, as you suggested, but it was interesting to hear what areas they were that they saw as ripe for immediate exploitation. Some normal levels of b s, which was to be expected. And I am always somewhat cynical about demos. Ever since the Mid Eighties at Hamburger University in Ill. (McD's) when AT&T unveilled thier ISDN capabilities with someone else's backup gear, just in case (supposedly David Systems InfoManager prem gear?) launching the bits behind the curtains. But I digress...

You can all judge the call for yourselves:
