donald,
Are you of the opinion we will break 10750 on the DOW today? What is your opinion of the market reaction to theFOMC tomorrow if there is no rate increase announced (which I expect) but a statement something to the effect that "we will maintain vigilance against any further signs of inflation, but chose not to react to a one month jump in the CPI, which may be an anomaly" (which I also expect).
Now I know you have made your update, but I am interested in your specific opinion of these two questions, if you have one handy <g>

I don't disagree with your conclusions as far as e-tailers (AMZN, BYND, EGGS, etc) go, but there are plenty of people who will do well in the internet area. Advertisers such as DCLK and ADFC should do well. Suppliers of specialized software and hardware such as RNWK or CSCO will also do well. Key sites that can hold on to eyeballs may fare OK as well, though I am less certain of this.

A more interesting question is what non-internet companies will suffer from competition from the web? Catalogs will obviously suffer big time. Some conventional retailers may suffer as well such as book stores and toy stores. My wife now buys most expensive toys for the kids off the web, for example. How about owners of commercial real estate? Will web sales drive down real estate prices?
