Neocon, exactly inverse! Marion Barry has support because the poor districts think he can do something for them, they have demagogic faith in him. That was originally true for Clinton's supporters: the usual suspects, the crew of riff-raff, and the mainstream caregivers. Now, they have changed their opinion, their expectations and their tactics. Now, they are not taking back the immoral, inept, pain in the ass until the nation, specifically Congress, does something to make it worth their while. You've kidnapped the President, they say, but we deal with his impossible kind all the time. You'll have to keep him until we know you understand how it feels to be left with society's dregs, and do something to help us.
