I have used Portico for a couple of months and it is becoming addictive. Unfortunately as good as it is I am not quite sure it is good enough to succeed. Voice recognition is impressive but at times I have difficulty in understanding my e-mail.

I think it is a hard sale --- I don't believe its claims ring true --- although all its claims are true. Very frustrating as an investor.

It needs a major promotion or some product shift to take off.

Rick,

"Foolishly, I keep getting more optimistic."

I do not think you are foolish. Give General Magic 12 - 24 months.

Straight UP

Dark Side? Profit

I feel that General Magic's technology and strategy
has the chance to change communications as we know it.
Agent technology will change the way we accomplish everyday
business and personal tasks. But can GMGC ever make a profit?
That is the big question. I am confident that if GMGC can't,
they will be bought out by another company.
That is why I will continue to be long. No one is going to let
GMGC's advances and technical infrastructure die!

Rick, I see this stock as a $1 or $100 dollar stock, nothing in-between. It is either going to happen all the way or not at all IMO. Personally, I have never been more optimistic about GM's future. Other companies are selling themselves to the market and their customers by touting their association with GM and the service/connectivity they can now bring to their customers. I LIKE THAT. Strait up is right, a few months will make the difference. My gut tells me that if portico wasn't going to work, Qwest would already know, and Bell south would have heard.

Good luck
Tony
