Aggie,

Don't think it's a stupid question - I have the same. All I know is what DLJ reports. I think the story has credibility though. I think it is extremely unusual for the management of a company to announce to the investor world that they are planning on selling themselves unless they really intend on doing so. The very management style you describe might be what is prompting the willingness to sell. Sale might be 12-18 months away - giving time for values to recover. If sold, however, I believe that it would be some type of cash and stock deal in which management is well taken care of (per the comments that the sale is contemplated as part of an exit strategy). Buyers?? Don't really know. It would have to be somebody big though.
