Charles,

- Intel 0.25 ramp fantastic and cost reduction well above plan and possibly 2Q
ahead of
AMD

0.25? Is that Niles' fopar or yours? I think we've had 0.25 for a while now.

- AMD sitting on 1 Mu inventory

They're sitting on Micron Technology inventory?

- Intel dropping ASPs to ensure AMD does not get the sockets it lost during
manufacturing problems last week (turning out to be expensive for Intel)

Last week? How old is that research note?

Tony

Charles - Re: "- AMD sitting on 1 Mu inventory"

That confirms what I posted on the AMD thread about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

Re: "AMD is yielding K7 over 600MHz"

Oh yeah... how many and at what voltage?

Re: " and most of the K6s over 400"

What is "most" ? 51% or 99% ?

That makes a lot of difference.

However, AMD's ASPs just collapsed so their >400 MHz CHEAPU's are now selling at last quarter's <400 MHz prices.

In football, they call that a "NO GAINER ".
