blankmind: As I have suggested in a number of posts I think the buying spree is not so wild as it appears. Most of all the investments are into pretty liquid stocks that give MSFT great leverage over the investments, are fairly liquid and will be more profitable than TBills. Additionally they would not be so free with their $$$ unless they saw the order book on Office and Win2k lookin' LARGE with a big influx of cash only weeks away.
I think DOJ has no case and MSFT probably feels the same way for reasons that I have stated at great length b4.

GO MSFT!
