The following compares revenue growth from Q2 1998 to Q2 1999 unless otherwise stated.

PRINTING AND IMAGING SOLUTIONS

Hardcopy products posted solid single-digit revenue growth year-over-year, against a very strong Q2 in 1998, and sequentially.
LaserJet Imaging Systems

Supplies, Color LaserJet printers and scanner products continued to post very strong revenue growth and excellent market acceptance across all geographies.
Supplies revenue growth was strong due to a growing installed base and excellent performance in Europe.
Monochrome printer revenue was down due to a tough year-over-year compare and a slower ramp for two products.
Inkjet Imaging Solutions
Supplies had strong year-over-year revenue growth particularly in Europe and North America.
Printer unit shipments posted good double-digit growth particularly Home Desktops.

COMPUTER PRODUCTS

PC desktop total revenue growth results were essentially flat due to a strong year-over-year compare, new product introductions and a continued focus on profitability.
Continued excellent performance by home products.
PC servers posted excellent growth and in particular the mid-range had very strong year-over-year growth.
Notebooks had solid double-digit growth.

Information storage continues to post strong double-digit revenue growth.
Rewritable CD products continued to show strong growth.
Good growth in small DLT libraries and DLT autoloaders.
ENTERPRISE COMPUTING SOLUTIONS
Enterprise Computing had an overall decline in revenue growth primarily due to a major product transition in the midrange UNIX(R) system server product class.

High-end UNIX servers continued to post strong growth with the V-2500.
Enterprise storage posted moderate growth across all regions due in part to the UNIX server midrange product transition.
Software and Services produced good double-digit revenue growth.
Customer support and financing services had good revenue growth with strong demand in mission critical and outsourcing services.
Software products, led by Openview Software, had good year-over-year results.
