assuming that Intel will stand still

I'm assuming that the K7 design team will turn their attention to speedpath work, and get K7 over 800 MHz by the end of the year.

And then, there is always the odd chance that AMD will get their 0.18u fab lines running- just to add to the fun.

So AMD should be worried Intel will surprise everyone and release Coppermine in July, 2 months ahead of schedule just to thwart a low number of 600MHz K7s?
