First of all, it is Mr. Grinsell, Patrick is his first name. Second and more importantly, I have been observing buyers at local retailers for the past two years, including Best Buy, and I see the 3DFX name moving many more cards than any of the other brands. Certainly NVDA has created a wonderful technology that is giving 3DFX some competition and will rightfully sell PLENTY of cards. But I still believe 3DFX will be wildly successful as a company in the future, and therefore have invested in the company with a long term horizon. No one with half a brain is going to discount the company because you saw ONE person with a TNT2 card in their hand. If you have a better argument than that as to why the COMPANY, 3DFX, is not a good investment, then please let's hear it.

Do not count eggs before all the eggs are on the shelves for sale.

So if I offered you a great looking egg NOW, you would refuse it to wait for an egg that subjectively may or may not be slightly better, receivable one month from now? You'd have to be an idiot.

Time to market is as important as anything else, and 3dfx has led the pack every time.

JAG... not to continue this foolishness but what the hell.. The TDFX thread is probably one of the few places on the internet where both longs/shorts hold civil conversations, very rarely turning it into a 'pissing' match.. Relax already!

My money keeps coming back to TDFX for nothing more than the name recognition.. That in my opinion is the secret to success in todays insane market place.. Also, the 1 month lead they had over TNT allowed them to sell probably well over 1 million cards with no competition.

I have always said that the average TDFX investor is too involved with the technical aspects and hasnt a clue about investing.. AMD constantly busts their behinds to create innovative technology and where does it get them? you got it..

Although- aside from this stormy earnings report coming tomorrow morning, its going to be REAL interesting to see how this story unfolds the rest of this year. The game has changed and TDFX just became one Goliath with this merger.. I may keep my money on the sidelines from time to time but never would I want to be shorting this stock right now.. TDFX investors also love the speculation..

I had a stop at 16 today.. I went to lunch and the we were at 16 5/16 on low volume.. 2 hours later im seeing 18 1/2 nearly 1mill.. Talk about interesting...

Im in for the earnings before the bell.. Paul is actually attempting to become a REAL investor in this company.. its hard tho..
