My guess is that Intel's current schedule has the Willamette set to ship in the August 2000 time frame.

However, Intel has been "pulling in schedules" for the past year or so.

Would you not expect Intel to remain MHz competitive for the next 2 quarters because of the lead in 180nm technology? Why not?

K7 has the architectural potential to move ahead of Coppermine MHz, even in 0.25u. Unless they run into manufacturing problems, K7 should be the fastest x86 processor from day one.

When do you expect Wilamette to ship?

I have no information beyond what has been discussed on SI, but what I've heard is next year.
