Len, Being a good environmentalist like anything else in this life, is just for people to REMEMBER where we are at this point in TIME and SPACE.. That particular group of native people forgot where they were in time. They did not need a whale to survive in 1999.. The Pope forgets what century we live in when it comes to birth control. The suburban dweller in the south, forgets where they live when they go buy a SUV to look cool in to go to the store.. And on and on.. This maladay like greed and goodness and all the attributes of the human condition, crosses societal, ethnic, and racial lines.. and proves we are all the same. Best wishes.. Coug
