RE:" Winstone 99 and K7."
Yes, Scumbria. I distinctly remember you saying that. Sounds like you know a lot more about synthetic CPU benchmarks than our resident "process expert" <G>

Scumbria - GREAT news about Dirk Meyer's K7 presentation in Santa Clara!

It is NOT $645, it is only $99!

There is a website (http://www.mdronline.com/q/@19006257glkhmq/events/sve/dm_about.html) which has the info, and just to make sure of the cost, I emailed the email address there, and Mel Thomsen replied -

"There are three separate activities, the two seminars and the K7
presentation at the dinner meeting.
Yes, if you only want to see the K7 presentation at the dinner, that is only $99. There is also a reception just before the dinner and that is included. It's a good place to meet your friends."

Since you actually know stuff about processors, know how they are designed, and live 10 min from Santa Clara, you would be an ideal candidate to go. Would you be willing to go if your anonymity isn't compromised? (I am sure the people here won't mind pitching in now that the price is much lower than we expected.)

Would anyone else who lives near Santa Clara be willing to go?
