Program Guide and Navigator for Digital Set-Top Boxes Continues to Grow By Over 5,000 Homes Per Day
TULSA, Okla., May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Already the industry's leading interactive program guide and navigator for digital cable, TV Guide Interactive has surpassed 2 million subscribers and continues to grow by more than 5,000 homes per day.

The new version of TV Guide Interactive will be released to systems in Q3 of this year. It will feature several enhancements including a new on-screen- graphic design, interactive advertising, local on-demand weather and enhanced parental controls.

Research completed by an independent research firm has determined that over 80 percent of TV Guide Interactive customers use the service every day, with usage reaching 90 percent in certain day parts. TV Guide Interactive is utilized by over 70 percent of consumers across all age ranges during fringe and prime time. Frequency is remarkable with consumers using the guide over 3 times per hour in all day parts. Approximately 60 percent of consumers use TV Guide Interactive when they first sit down and over 55 percent utilize during commercials. TV Guide Interactive users change channels over four times per hour and utilize the Browse feature over three times per hour. On an average day consumers spend over 16 minutes utilizing TV Guide Interactive

TV Guide Interactive is currently distributed by more than 25 MSOs in over 1,000 cities and towns in the U.S. and Canada. All of the top 10 MSOs have deployed TV Guide Interactive as an interactive program guide for their digital cable service.

TV Guide Interactive now passes approximately 34 million cable homes and is available in more than 75 percent of the top 25 DMAs in the country. Additionally, TV Guide has amassed a substantial intellectual property portfolio that now surpasses over 100 issued and pending patents with over 3800 claims worldwide.
