OT: What a riot!

Just went over to Tom's Hardware to take a look at his "apology". Rather than apologize himself, he posts two paragraphs from Brian Hook on how he should have apologized and goes on endlessly about how he is being unfairly criticized. This guy kills me.

Also, just got my new system up and runnning. Didn't wait for the K7, although I'll probably get one anyway. Here's a couple of cool tips I learned along the way:

1) With drive sizes the getting into the HUGE territory you can get raid SCSI for the price of a single drive. The Flashpoint UW SCSI controller goes for $109 over at NECX and has raid capability. I bought two 4.5GB seagate Cheetahs for the price of what it would cost me for one 9GB drive and I'm using them as a raid 0 set. I'm now getting twice the transfer rate of my old 9GB Cheetah for the same cost! Very cool.

2) Computernerd.com is selling guaranteed overclocked barebones systems (MB, CPU, Fan). I got a Celeron 400 guaranteed at 500. Works flawlessly and saved me over $600 for the equivalent PIII. I'll give this to the wife when the K7 comes and her PC will be demoted to our in-house dedicated server.

3) Had to replace my 250 Watt power supply after filling almost 10 bays full of peripherals. Do yourselves a favor and go for the 300W+ so you don't have to worry.
