A large BUY would gap the stock to say $3, and they'd immediately NEED to drop the price to buy back as many shares as possible at lower prices to cover the stare they sold to the large buyer.

Just normal trading, a lot of buying over the day will make it rise, a lot of selling will make to drop. Could be more volatile than normal for a few days, we may see WIDER spreads to protect the MMs from any surprises.
