While reading this article, it occurred to me that there is still skepticism in the marketplace about the long-term viability of the video compression format MPEG2. Some serious people are not believers in MPEG2 and that has caused uncertainty.

Is it NOW fair to say that all uncertainty has been removed and that MPEG2 has been accepted unequivocally as the standard compression format?
