K7 Celeron?

jc-news.com
99/05/16, 11:27pm - Okay, a lot of stuff actually happened this weekend, but as you see I've been in one of my sleeping-too-much moods lately. The most curious bit out there, I've found, was the news of AMD's upcoming Alereon processor. OK, I confess -- we have no idea if "Alereon" is a processor, or what it means at all, but the name was registered with InterNIC (as alereon.com) by AMD recently. It sure reminds one of "Celeron", so could be the name of AMD's eventual "low end" K7 offering. The coolest suggestion I've heard (from Register) is that "aler eon" is an anagram for "real one". Hmm...I smell marketing department!
