May I ask where you are getting your information?

Chuckie - Re: "It looks like AMD has cut down significantly on K6 wafer starts and is moving the production to K7. That should alleviate the inventory concerns and dramatically improve K7 availability."

Oh yeah - do you have access to AMD's Wafer Start schedules?

How many K6-2's were started in WW 8-12? In WW 13-16?

How many K7 wafer starts were made in WW 13 - 16?

What is the K7 wafer WIP status?

What are the 550 MHz K7 yields - die/wafer ? the 600 MHz yields?

Do you know ANY of these answers or are you just pumping fresh bullsh*t to the AMDiehards?

Paul

Chuckles,

Now that's NOT what McAnnis says -->

Message 9543807

"---I'd say that this is probably true. The mass production won't start
until Q4. There simply isn't enough FAB space a FAB 25. I'd be surprised
if more than 50k K7s were shipped in June if they "get" shipped and say
500k in QTR 3."

And, we all know how "accurate" Jim is on issues like this. <ggg>
