Michelle, I do subscribe to the no killer apps theory. So how much demand would we get for memory upgrades of existing boxes to 64meg? That would seem to be a plus for DRAM but would it really be a plus for the big boxmakers like DELL? If I were to require an upgrade in memory for Inut service, I would probably just by an emachine and leave my old MUEI P133 workhorse as is for other things, such as a boat anchor. -g- I was able to upgrade it by 16 meg for free a year ago when they were giving the EDO stuff away with rebates, now I think it would cost real money to get to 64. -g-

we had a dsl provider for a couple months, it was working sunday....I tried to access them this morning...no access. So we tried their service number..."we're sorry, this number is no longer in service". My guy tried to access their home page, and guess what...home page vanished. So I asked him, "do they owe us money?" he stopped and thought a minute and said "hmm, they never sent us a bill."
I kinda think this is going to happen to a lot of the isps and dsl outfits as soon as the vc and hot money dries up.We're back in service with pac bell. Be careful with dsl they frequently advertise capability that isn't actually delivered to your box, it's "virtual" bandwidth.
PS get a mac.
