Plenty of people voted for Perot, and Jesse Ventura won in Minnesota. But a two party system sorts out the play of factions early, and tends to field candidates towards the center...It is natural, then, that people often don't feel much to be at stake, and don't bother to vote...

Then how did Jesse Ventura get elected??

And there's a socialist congressman out of what... Vermont? Sanders is his name I believe.

Anyone can start a political party and if they can generate the attention and political support, they can get elected.

Or have you forgotten how Ross Perot scared the living daylights outta both parties several years back.

Regards,

Ron
