Nodding in sympathy here, E. THere are a bunch of words that I can't use without blushing. Oddly they aren't the really bad ones. I can swear like a sailor when I'm mad, although I try not to around the kids-- ever since Ammo said proudly to my mother-in-law, "Mom uses the F word in the car."

But I can't use words like ummm-p***** in public. Penis I can use. ANd I can say the F word, but not the f word--(for gas). Sexual euphemisms are out of my reach. I just can't do it.

I have a terrible story from the Athletic Banquet last night. The golf coach was announcing the Award for best girl's golfer and he said, "She's little, and not very strong, but she always finds a way to get it in the hole."
You can imagine the football team's reaction to this. And that poor girl is standing in front of 1000 people as he says this. ANd the worst thing is, I snickered, and Dan gave me the same look he gives the boys when they're being crass. I turned it into a coughing fit, which fooled no one.

I even noticed you used the wrong number of dashes. Optimism?
