Thanks for the analysis. Obviously I see Atmel breaking through the 22-23+ resistance level soon, if the stock is to get to my 30 by 2Q earnings report. I'm even encouraged by the chart movement over the last year. The big explosions up recently have been on very heavy volume. Technically, we may need to do some more consolidating, but I don't believe that we will. Fundamentally, the bottom line in my thinking is...the bottom line: Atmel's earnings have disappointed often enough that a really big move upward will depend on earnings coming through. And I think it's going to happen. But wdik. I thought my Yankees wouldn't lose five straight. Cheers/t

Hi Michael -- I was looking over the recent chart and noted that Atmel gapped more than a point upward on opening on May 12, but filled in that gap (TAs like such gaps to be filled in) on May 17. In fact, the 18 3/4 close on the 11th was exactly the low on the 17th. To me, that looks technically sound. If so, the current erosion is just that: slow and low volume withering of the price before the next explosion on high volume upward. Cheers/t
