GV - Re: "Don't discount that there is an element of fact to Pfeiffer's comments, exaggerated as they were. HWP reported that PC revenue growth was indeed strong, but this growth was concentrated in the Home PC market. Commercial desktops did not grow at all"

Didn't IBM Report ROBUST sales of PCs and Servers?

As I recollect, IBM seems to sell a few systems into the commercial sector.

What about Gateway - didn't the report excellent sales - more to the retail side, to be sure.

And Dell certainly hasn't "pre-announced" any difficulties.

Let's put it this way - Pfeiffer's TRUTHs were shrouded in a web of lies.
