Yes the housing starts were supposed to increase and they decreased. That shows the economy slowing. No one thinks the Feds will increase rates today. Many feel they will change the bias towards increasing rates. The question is will they change the bias and if they do how will the market react?

MMK ..

For the bonds .. 'bad' economic news is
'good' news .. and since stock valuations
are in some part tied to the level of
interest rates .. the feeling at the moment
is we need to see the bonds stabalize and rally
from present levels to encourage the stock
bulls .. FWIW ..
