My dad was a real early riser. He'd roust us kids out of bed prety much as soonans the sun was up. Then we'd fall in for a walk on the beach. When I was a sprat Fenwick Island (maybe a hundred yards north of The Lighthouse) was a town of maybe a hundred people. So we got into Empty Beach in a hurry.
I still remember squinting into the solar glare beyond the surfline and seeing porpoises.
I useta have really neat dreams of fifty and even one hundred foot surf on these beaches.

Atlantic ocean stays cold too long.

I suspect you haven't tried the warm and wonderful Pacific.
