Chaos at USWEB? Here is my inside report: "Money is flowing in, but the place is still disorganized. There is still too much waste, redundancy and chaos. They haven't yet integrated many of the acquired businesses, including CKS. There is no sense of gravity or a "center" to the company. One problem is that they bought all these little Web companies, many run by "children" less than 30 years old who are now getting big checks to head up lines of business in which they have no experience. There is a boys club/college atmosphere and slovenly lack of professional standards for behavior that could lead to liability problems a la SCO a few years back. The only reason this place isn't enormously profitable, right now, is because it's so poorly organized. Investors should howl."
