ed...have you noticed the absence of the bears on the thread. With all the bait the FOMC has sprinkled around, you'd think they would be here doing their thing. Doesn't seem like it was this way last Feb. Any thoughts? Maybe they'll come visit this afternoon. Maybe not.

Dell has the opportunity to counteract Kumar's dire second quarter statements by presenting a strong outlook for the 2nd half, so I'll be listening carefully to the CC & see how the winds blow....

ed,

what puzzles me is why a quiet period is imposed to the company before earnings announcement and not to analysts who can just blabber their mouth whatever direction they choose. Example: Niles, Kumar, Young and MER. these analysts are licensed and the regulatory agency should be able to impose the gag rules as well, don't think it is a violation of 1st ammendment.
