Embratel's mirror company Bonari to invest R$ 2.8bn

The so-called mirror company Bonari, created to dispute the
long-distance calls market with Embratel, plans to invest R$ 2.8bn in
the next four years to operate what the company has classified as
"Brazil's most modern telephony network".
Bonari will begin operations by the end of the year with the
installation of a 15,000-km optical fiber network. Bonari is a
consortium formed by three companies: National Grid (50%), Sprint (25%)
and France Telecom (25%). (By Irany Tereza)
