I understand your frustration, but I think that your comments about "long-term share holders" are really off base. There are specific reasons why individuals have chosen not to post here that have nothing to do with your suggestion that they have abandoned everyone when the chips are down.

It is not my place to speak for them, but you can easily contact them by e-mail to find out the answers to your concerns. I think that this would be much more constructive than simply guessing; especially at a time when tensions are high.

Get real. The SEC has the authority to enforce regulations, etc., and what they did with DCTC's suspension has a legitimate basis. Also, MMs will continue to do what they do, as they are the ones who provide liquidity for off-exchange stocks. If you don't like how things work, invest in blue chips. Otherwise, be prepared to take the bad with the good, the downs with the ups, and give up on the conspiracy theories.
