TO ALL ON THE THREAD: FORTUNE MAG FEATURES CMGI AS 1 OF 9 INTERNET STOCKS

Lists:

3 as The Establishment -- AOL, CSCO, MSFT

3 as The Upstarts -- EBAY, YHOO, ATHM

3 as The Wild Bunch -- AMZN, CMGI, EXDS

Here's the last paragraph on CMGI:

<<The decisive factor, according to Noglows and other CMGI fans, is David Wetherell, the company's CEO. "He's shown himself to be the savviest investor in this space," Noglows says. "This isn't a guy you want to bet against." The companies in Wetherell's pipeline represent just about every hot net sector, and many are already being talked up. But like so many Internet stocks, CMGI is no place for the faint of heart. In cyberspace, risk comes with the territory--and reward comes only to those willing to take a chance.>>

Obviously reflects endorsement and increasing recognition of CMGI for occupying a special position in the internet sector. However, "The Wild Bunch" just doesn't quite make it for me -- not after seeing and enjoying the Sam Peckinpak classic ! Should have been 'Galactic Internet Empires of the Future' or something realistically modest like that. <g.

Good luck --

George Martin

We finally broke 250. What does this mean? I thought we're going to be okay if this is achieved. Or do we have to close over it?
