Customer base + channels + less competition equals better amrgins...with a giant like cisco technology is one piece of the formula - getting loyal customers with which to sell high margin product for the next decade is worth the price..IMHO

I think a purchase of cs by csco is a prudent move to act as a spoiler to deny its competitors the opportunity they need to gain on csco. I think that while this scenario is unlikely, it is not implausible. Just another viewpoint.
