Perhaps a final "shakeout" before the next leg up? I note that the low for the day so far is $4.40. At the close last night the short-term ten-day chart showed $4.60 as the short-term (1 day) EMA and $4.40 as the long-term (5 day) EMA.

Bringing the price down to the long-term EMA today should have spooked most short-term and/or day traders into exiting their positions.
